8.50pm: Labor's Trish Doyle has just delivered a victory speech to her supporters at Lawson Bowling Club. "Go Blue Mountains, we have painted you red," she concluded. (We don't have an update from the Liberal Party's election night event tonight as the media weren't invited).
8.28: In Lapstone, the first of the two Blue Mountains booths in the Penrith electorate to report, sitting Liberal MP Stuart Ayres has narrowly outpolled Labor's Karen McKeown, 499 (Libs) to 414 (Labor).
8.19: In the seat of Penrith, the Liberal incumbent Stuart Ayres is currently ahead on the primary vote, 40.89 per cent to Labor's 35.36 per cent. Labor's Jodi McKay on the ABC just said it isn't looking good for Labor's chances of taking the seat.
8.15: Antony Green on the ABC has called the overall result a victory for the Coalition Government.
8.12: The ABC has predicted Labor's Trish Doyle to retain Blue Mountains, with a current swing to the ALP in Blue Mountains of 5.8 per cent

7.04pm: It's too early to call (of course) but with only one per cent of votes counted ABC election analyst Antony Green has Labor incumbent Trish Doyle (after a first preference count) with a swing of 5.8 per cent with both the Liberals and Greens vote down.
6.10pm: Polling booths have closed and counting has begun. Sitting Labor MP for Strathfield Jodi McKay has said it "wasn't the ideal week for us" and an early Nine poll is calling a minority Coalition government win.
There are 54,873 people enrolled to vote in the Blue Mountains state seat where the margin for Labor incumbent Trish Doyle is 8.1 per cent. (A seat on a 6-12 per cent margin is considered safe).
Earlier: Blue Mountains voters have started heading to the polls in booths across the Blue Mountains and Penrith electorates.
Seven candidates are vying for the seat of Blue Mountains, which is held by Labor MP Trish Doyle.
The seat of Blue Mountains includes the townships between Blaxland and Mount Victoria as well as Bell and Mount Wilson.
