One man's trash is another man's treasure.
So if you have something to sell or are looking for a bargain, Lithgow will play host to the second Lithgow Swap Meet on Sunday, April 14.
The day is set to begin at the Lithgow Greyhound track at 5am for sellers to set up, and gates will officially open to the public at 6am.
"So far we have 54 sellers booked in and we expect for their to be about 60 to 70 all up," coordinator Linda Hine said.
According to Mrs Hine a lot of people don't book and just show up so there will be plenty on offer.
"It's awesome, it's like a giant garage sale," she said.
"Most of the time you have an antique sale, or a clearing sale but they never cross over so we thought it was important to have them all in the one place."
The day will feature items from not only collectors, but also the every day person and their household products and automotive gear.
The coordinators are hoping for a pretty big turnout with between 300 and 500 people estimated.
With people from around NSW expected to turn up from Friday and spend the weekend in town, it will bring a good amount of tourism to the area, according to coordinator Geoff Dreves.
"People will travel to be part of the event, so we have people coming from Sydney, Dubbo, Paramatta, Newcastle and Cootamundra," he said.
Mrs Hine said people should clear their garage and bring down whatever they need to get rid of because anything is sell-able.
"People love a market and this is any price range, so you could find yourself a bargain," she said.
Last year the swap meet took place at the Lithgow Show but Mrs Hine said the greyhound track was a better venue with the potential to grow.
"With a swap meet you are really part of it, there is comradeship because without sellers and buyers it just doesn't work," she said.
The coordinators wanted to thank the Workies Club for allowing their land to be used as a parking space close to the venue.

"We also need to thank Council for mowing the grass and especially to the Greyhound Club for their space, they have been more then helpful from the start," Mr Dreves said.
"A swap meet is a well established concept and we found there was a gap in the calendar and Lithgow didn't have one," coordinator Phil Hine said.
"Instead of having to plant a seed and wait for it to grow, it is like planting a grown tree."
There will also be a hot canteen, cake table and coffee van.
Cost is $5 for entry with children 12 and under getting in for free or $20 for a stall with no size restriction within reason.
All the proceeds made on the day will go back to the Lithgow Show Society.
"I just can't believe it's happening, it's fantastic," Mrs Hine said.
