Springwood resident Nellie Grimshaw is making a departure from her musical theatre roots this month when she appears in the smash hit comedy, One Man, Two Guvnors, at the Richmond School of Arts.
Local theatre-goers will have seen Nellie in productions including Joseph and the Amazing Technical Dreamcoat and Beauty and the Beast, but her latest role with Richmond Players has certainly been her most challenging to date, as she not only takes on four roles, but also the task of learning to tap dance.
One Man, Two Guvnors tells the story of Francis who, in his desperate pursuit of money (and food), takes on two bosses ('Guvnors'); Roscoe Crabbe, a small-time criminal, and Stanley Stubbers, an upper-class idiot.
And he needs to hide the fact from each of them that he has a second boss, which leads to a little chaos and a lot of laughs.
One Man, Two Guvnors runs from May 11-25 at the Richmond School of Arts. Tickets are $25 and are available at www.richmondplayers.com.au.
