Bluegrass bass royalty Missy Raines will play at Hotel Blue on Friday, October 18.
Raines is on tour on the heels of historic wins at the International Bluegrass Music Awards. This year, she won the Bluegrass Bass Player of the Year Award for the eighth time.
Her recording of Darlin' Pal(s) of Mine from her new album, Royal Traveller, was also named the 2019 Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year. Royal Traveller was called "unerringly affecting and exquisitely executed" by Bluegrass Today.
"The bluegrass community has always been my family, and I'm so grateful for their continued support of my music," said Raines.
The Missy Raines Trio features guitarist Ben Garnett and fiddle player George Jackson.
Jackson is a native of New Zealand and a former member of international trio One Up, Two Down, and Australian bluegrass outfit, The Company.
