Local author Adrian d'Hage is at Megalong Books in Leura on Saturday, June 8, at 6.15pm.
D'Hage has five successful novels under his belt and has also managed to have careers in the military, as a ski instructor, scientist and theologian. He is often referred to as Australia's Indiana Jones and, like his alter ego, also holds a doctorate but in International Relations on The Middle East.
D'Hage is no stranger to adventure - he has fought in the jungles of Vietnam where he was awarded the Military Cross and has degrees in chemistry that have enabled him to have a deep understanding of global horror scenarios such as attacks on nuclear facilities.
He researches his novels in the far flung corners of the globe and readers are likely to find themselves diving in Italy's Lake Como or in the subterranean caves under the Great Pyramid in Giza or being pursued astride a motorbike in the snowy capped massifs of the Swiss Alps or breaking into an art dealer's gallery in Venice in search of stolen masters.
D'Hage is an entertaining and accomplished speaker so the event at Megalong Books should not be missed. Book at www.megalongbooks.com.au.
