Local seven-piece band The Spectacles return to Hazelbrook Bowling Club on Saturday, June 15, continuing their tradition of doing a "winter warmer" at the venue.
Vocalist Lorraine Vogel said: "In summer, people are automatically in party mode but when temperatures drop they sometimes need a nudge to get off the couch and go out for some fun. So this is us, reminding them that it's worth it."
The Spectacles will be playing their signature combination of danceable rock, pop and soul hits from 8pm until late. The club bistro will be open from 5:30pm for those wanting to make a night of it.
"Hazelbrook Bowling Club is a small, friendly venue where everyone is welcome. You can eat, drink, talk, dance and have a relaxing time," said Vogel. "Unfortunately, some clubs fill their performance spaces with poker machines which is sad on many levels. We'd love to see the local community come out and support the venues who are committed to providing live music, free of charge I might add, to their patrons."
