Star Fremantle Dockers defender Nathan Wilson has suffered facial injuries during a brawl outside a party in Mandurah, south of Perth, on the weekend.
The dashing backman was at a 21st birthday party at a house on Banyon Close on Saturday night when he was caught up in the ugly street fight and punched in the face.
A club spokesperson said they were aware of an incident involving the defender after Wilson advised the club shortly after it occurred.
"Wilson had to have two stitches to a cut above his eye," the club spokesperson said.
"Police attended an address in Mandurah where the party was being held and have subsequently advised that Wilson is not under investigation with regard to the matter."
The violence at the party broke out when guests were asked to leave just after midnight and several became aggressive.
Police said the 26-year-old Wilson, who was recruited from Greater Western Sydney at the end of 2017, and another victim were unable or unwilling to identify their attackers.
