Lower Blue Mountains Rotary's charity screening of Yesterday on Sunday, July 14 is certain to attract another 'sell out' crowd.
Already acclaimed by movie critics, Yesterday follows recent music genre movies like Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocket Man and capitalises on the fabulous music of the Beatles.
Local Rotary club members are delighted with the success of the popular movie nights and the last two attractions - Top End Wedding and Rocket Man - have attracted capacity crowds.
The Lower Blue Mountains club believes in giving something back to the Lower Mountains community and the same generous offer is available to patrons again - $20 for finger food (not a meal), beverages and one movie ticket. Bookings open this week.
Lucky door prizes will be available, along with special prizes for the best Beatles dress - be it costumes, head gear, wigs, glasses or any other feature made highlighted by the 'Fab Four'.
Doors will open to the cinema hall at 6pm for refreshments, with the movie screening at 7.15 pm. Bookings are with Rotarian Gaye Van Der Meer on 0430 433 717.
Patrons should note there are two options for payment - online via Lower Blue Mountains Rotary service account - BSB 062 640 ACC #: 00901 789; or cash payment in full at Glenbrook Butchery, 39 Park Street, Glenbrook.
All paid tickets are available for collection at the cinema hall door on the night.
Proceeds from this charity screening will help fund the shelter refurbishment and access project at Whitton Park in Moore Street, Glenbrook - the Rotary Club's 50th anniversary project; and The Rotary Foundation's humanitarian works.
Yesterday stars Himish Patel, Lily James and Ed Sheeran and tells the story of Jack Malik - a struggling singer-songwriter whose dreams are rapidly fading until a freakish bus accident during a mysterious global blackout. Jack wakes up to discover that (to the world) the Beatles have never existed - yet he has long performed their music. He continues performing the music of the greatest band in history to a world that has never heard them and becomes an overnight sensation.
