Hundreds of Kate Bush fans are expected to descend on Woodford Reserve on Saturday, July 13 to take part in the Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever.
Starting at 1pm, the fun-filled afternoon will see people reenact British singer-songwriter Kate Bush's famous 1978 Wuthering Heights music video. Inspired by the 2013 Brighton Fringe Festival where the group Shambush attempted the World Record to have the most "Kates" dancing at one time, this has now become a worldwide event with more than 40 cities taking part.
All ages and genders and species are welcome at the Blue Mountains event, said organisers.
Donations are greatly appreciated and will go towards the Blue Mountains Women's Health and Resource Centre.
Performers are asked to arrive at 1pm to rehearse the dance before the performance starts at 1.30pm.
There will be a celebration at the Woodford Academy afterwards with the cafe serving coffee, tea and cakes and Katoomba Brewing Company serving Golden Ale, Hillbilly Cider and wines from the Central West Region. Entry to view the historical Woodford Academy - costumed "Kates" $5, adults $10, seniors/students (5-15 years) $8, family $25 (two adults, two children), children under 5 free.
