Plektra, with its fusion of classical and world music, comes to the Blue Mountains on Saturday, July 20, with a show at the Mechanics Institute in Lawson.
The ensemble of mandolinists and guitarists will be performing classics including the Vivaldi mandolin concerto and tango music by Piazolla, as well as world music with an Eastern European flavour and some surprises to delight the audience.

The group is led by Kiev-trained, internationally renowned mandolin soloist Dr Stephen Lalor, who performs and tours with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Australia Opera and Ballet Orchestra.
Plektra has toured Germany where they were invited to perform at Europe's leading festival for mandolin and guitar music, BDZ.
