Cancer Wellness Support hosted a successful 1920s-themed Penrith Valley Chamber of Commerce event on Tuesday night, July 9 at their Penrith Op-shop.
With more than 70 people attending, the shop was transformed into a "saloon bar" featuring a roulette wheel, Gatsby clothes, and food and drinks representative of the era.
"Our head office is in Leura, however we have a thriving wellness centre in Penrith," said general manager Bronwen Johnston.
"PVCC is a strong and active chamber and the opportunity for Cancer Wellness Support to strengthen relationships in the business community is vital. Our organisation is investing in the future growth and needs of the Penrith Community, which flows through to the Blue Mountains," she said.
"Sponsorship, donations of goods to our op shops, or giving volunteer time is all part of our community model".
Penrith Valley Chamber of Commerce President Simon Gould said: "This week's Chamber Connect at the Cancer Wellness Support Op Shop in Penrith was one of our best."
