Two fabulous Welsh choirs will present an inspiring concert, The Wonderful World of Welsh Song, at St Finbar's Catholic Church in Glenbrook on Sunday July 28 at 2pm.
The Sydney Welsh Choir will be conducted by local musical identity Viv Llewellyn. Originally from South Wales, Viv has been a singer, performer and teacher in the Blue Mountains for many years. David Short, who is a most accomplished musician and the choir's accompanist will play the St Finbar's heritage organ for some of the choral pieces.
The Cantorian Male Voice Choir will be conducted by Ben Oxley, who has extensive experience as an opera singer and choral conductor.
The two choirs, who will perform together and separately, will present Welsh songs and hymns as well as sacred music, songs from shows and popular music.
The cost is $20 at the door including afternoon tea afterwards in the hall.
