The seven-member Blue Mountains Heritage Advisory Committee has thrown their support behind an independent review of heritage management, organised by the council.
"We're happy that in the restructure of council's activities, heritage and HAC [Heritage Advisory Committee] are now the responsibility of the planning department," said committee member Ron Powell.
The committee is also involved in organising a heritage expo for April next year as part of the National Trust's Australian Heritage Festival. It's recommended in the review that more members be added to the committee, to bring it to between 8-12.
The committee would like these members to be appointed quickly, to help with organising the expo.
"We need a full complement of HAC members to assist in organisation," Mr Powell said.
