Three Blue Mountains schools have received honours at the NSW Regional Final Awards for the Tournament of the Mind competition recently.
Blue Mountains Grammar (junior and senior) Schools, Wentworth Falls Public and Katoomba High received awards at the event on August 31.
Blue Mountains Grammar School was honoured with first place in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) for the primary and secondary and honours in the Arts section (junior school).
Wentworth Falls Primary came first in the Social Sciences division - the first time the school has competed in many years.
Katoomba High School received Honours in language literature.
The event is a university-run problem solving program. The state finals will be held on September 15 at the University of NSW in Kensington.
