Hundreds of cannabis plants, with an estimated street value of $900,000 have been uncovered in a Springwood house.
Blue Mountains Police Detective Inspector Scott McAlpine said 250 plants, varying in height between 60cm and 160cm, were found in the Pitt Street house on September 19.
A 32-year-old Cabramatta man and 56-year-old Canley Vale woman were observed leaving the home early in the morning on September 19, and were stopped by police and taken to Springwood Police Station where they are assisting with police inquiries, Det Insp McAlpine said.
The house has been the subject of an ongoing police investigation.
The duo were charged with taking part in enhanced indoor cultivation of plant for commercial use, and were to appear in Penrith Court on September 20.
