The student climate strike at Katoomba this morning (September 20) gathered a decent crowd, particularly considering it is the first time the event has been held in the Upper Mountains town.
Banners and signs were held aloft by a large group of young people, as well as their adult relatives.
Following a welcome to country, there were some passionate speeches about the need for urgent action to combat the effects of human-induced climate change.
