Immerse the kids in nature the upcoming school holidays with Take Flight and Native Animal Encounter events exclusive to Scenic World.
Take Flight is a free, entertaining and educational bird show that will inspire kids and adults alike with wonder for Australia's unique bird species.
Audiences can expect to be wowed as birds fly closely over and around them during the show. This is a special opportunity to behold some of Australia's amazing birds within the surrounds of their native habitat in the Blue Mountains.
In addition, the all-new Scenic World experience, Native Animal Encounter, will give visitors the opportunity to meet some of the Blue Mountains' favourite native animals in a closed-group setting, within their natural environment.
Native Animal Encounter is an intimate and interactive session with three animals that call the Blue Mountains home .- the sugar glider, sooty owl and diamond python.
Both these events will highlight the uniqueness of Australia's fauna, leaving children inspired with a better understanding of the conservation issues that face Australia's native species.
"As passionate advocates for the environment, Scenic World is excited to present Take Flight and Native Animal Encounter," said Amanda Byrne, chief experience officer at Scenic World.
"Two stars of these events, Curly the bush stone-curlew and Terry the red-tailed black cockatoo are threatened species, so the opportunity to see them up close and personal is definitely one for the school holiday to-do list."
The host of Take Flight and Native Animal Encounter, Ravi Wasan, is the founder of Feathered Friends, an organisation dedicated to the care and conservation of avian species worldwide.
"We want to provide an entertaining and transformative experience that touches on topics such as conservation and sustainability, inspiring audiences to make active change," he said.
As a passionate educator and advocate for environmental conservation, Mr Wasan said the rainforest of the Jamison Valley is an ideal location for Take Flight and Native Animal Encounter.
"Not only is it the native habitat for many of these animals, but the valley is a natural amphitheatre and the perfect place to see these amazing birds in full flight."
