"Intentional learning" is the goal for students at Wycliffe Christian College.
Principal David Johnston says the Warrimoo school wants students from preschool through to Year 12 "to be conscious of turning their brains on, using them well, asking hard questions and then reflecting on the progress they are making".
"An important part of our heartbeat is the high expectation that we have for all of our students to experience significant learning progress as they journey through the school," Mr Johnston said.
"We have a narrative of being intentional about learning. As a school community there is an abundance of dynamics that we have to be thankful to God for and one of these is the reality that every single one of our students have been blessed with talents and abilities for them to grow in and use, both now and in the future."

Mr Johnston said so successful was the program that they were about to increase enrolments at the preschool.
"We will be opening our existing unit for all five days of the week from the start of next year," he said.
"We are also planning to open a new building during the year, creating additional places.
"The Early Learning Framework provides a wonderful foundation for ongoing engagement and development of children as they prepare for entry into Kindergarten."
The school is also eagerly anticipating the opening of an Out of School Hours (OOSH) service in 2020.
"We have engaged with an external provider who is currently completing all of the registration requirements and we expect to be able to offer placements to families during next term," Mr Johnston said.
The school's commitment to all senior students being able to access learning pathways that support their future directions has resulted in the addition of Stage 6 Agriculture into their curriculum options for this year.
"We have loved seeing how investing in new initiatives has been contagious and life-giving for our students and families," Mr Johnston said.
