Fashion parade for Cancer Wellness Support

"With the community working together, we can achieve anything" is the mission statement driving the Cancer Wellness Support's business ethos and fundraising campaigns.

For the upcoming Vintage to New Collection Fashion Parade fundraising event, this philosophy fits like a glove.

On Thursday, October 24, 10 models from the local community will parade a variety of outfits sourced from the Katoomba and Penrith Wellness Support Op Shops.

There will be six looks: Vintage, vintage inspired, resort, French-style, inspired by nature, and after five.

The models will be styled by Charlotte Smith, fashion anthropologist and owner of Australasia's largest private fashion collection, The Charlotte Smith Fashion Collection (formerly known as The Darnell Collection).

The event will be held at the Penrith Op Shop. Great music, live narration by Ms Smith, who will also be the MC, and wonderful, wearable clothes will make for a fun, empowering and profitable evening.

All of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to Cancer Wellness Support.

As well, everything seen on the catwalk will be for sale.

On Thursday, October 24 at Cancer Wellness Support Op Shop, 211 High St, Penrith, from 6-10pm. Cost $30. Shopping begins at 6pm, parades begin from 7pm.
