The 25th Blue Mountains Music Festival of Folk Roots and Blues has announced an all-star line-up that includes beloved singer-songwriters John Butler and Kasey Chambers.
Also on the 2020 line-up is American folk and traditional artist Rhiannon Giddens (US), reggae, jazz and soul saxophonist YolanDa Brown (UK), and multi-award winning contemporary folk trio The East Pointers (Canada).
Joining them in Katoomba on March 13/14/15 will be blues legends The Backsliders, larrikins 19-Twenty and festival favourites Irish Mythen, Eleanor McEvoy and SON (Susan O'Neil) from Ireland.
Also announced are three outstanding Scottish groups in FARA, The Langan Band and Jellymans Daughter as well as the high energy world music of Startijenn from France.
Other newcomers include Canadians The Burning Hell, Coig, Quebecois trio E.T.E and singer-songwriter Ian Sherwood.
From the US comes Will Kimbrough, The Turner Brown Band, Keiran Kane and Rayna Gellert and The Whitetop Mountaineers.
Outstanding indigenous artists include Shellie Morris and Djakapurra, and Emily Wurramarra.
With 46 acts appearing on eight stages, the 25th festival promises to be the best yet with many many more artists yet to be announced.
