Now in its third year, the Dracular Spectacular at Valley Heights "Frights" Rail Museum will return by popular demand on Saturday and Sunday, October 26-27.
The museum and a range of exhibits will be dressed up for the occasion by the volunteers. Take a walk on the wild side as you squirm your way through the "Spooky Express", then ride the SST (Scary Steam Tram) as it glides past the Ghost Train. The whole family can enter the Wacky Witch Hunt competition (spot the hidden witches) with great prizes to be won, then relax in the cafe with its range of tempting foods.
All the rail museum's wonderful regular exhibits and attractions will be open, including the two model rooms. As a special treat on Sunday at 2.30pm, the renowned St George Brass Band will put on a performance of spooky tunes, backed up with some traditional railway-themed favourites.
There will be late opening and closing on Saturday, October 26, from 2pm until 8pm - a rare chance to see the museum after dark (last ride at 6.30pm). Normal hours apply on Sunday (10am-4pm) with last ride at 3.30pm. Usual admission fees apply on both days.
