Beverage makers from the Blue Mountains region will gather in Katoomba at the first ever BevFest on Sunday, November 3.
In the Carrington Hotel's Grand Dining Room, 11 boutique brewers of gin, beer, cider, wine, kombucha, wild hibiscus syrup and coffee will be offering more than 25 samples to both industry representatives and members of the public.
There will also be $250 in lucky door prizes for locals or visitors to win.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for members of the community, as well as visitors and trade, to be able to try the incredible range of beverages being produced here. There's something for everyone - from natural wine to gin, cocktail mixers and coffee. BevFest will also give people the chance to meet the makers, hear their stories and understand their craft," said Michael Brischetto of Katoomba Brewing Company.
BevFest is produced by the Blue Mountains Beverage Collective, a group comprising local producers of beverage-based products and an initiative of the Blue Mountains Economic Enterprise (BMEE)
"There is an exciting mix of producers locally who are very keen to work together on this initiative," said Bernie Fehon, CEO of Blue Mountains Economic Enterprise.
"It is exciting to see such great collaboration and there is no doubt that this cluster of businesses will continue to grow and make significant contributions to the local economy."
