Academy Singers, directed by Paul Terracini, is joining forces with Sydney Gamelan Orchestra Langen Suka in a concert on Saturday, November 23 at 3pm, St Hilda's Anglican Church, Katoomba. To complement the orchestra Academy Singers will be singing Indonesian and Japanese folk songs. Former principal piccolo in the Sydney Symphony, Rose Plummer, will be playing the ryuteki, an ancient Japanese flute.
This concert is supporting 'Be Slavery Free', which works to raise awareness, prevent and abolish modern slavery. They will receive $5 from each adult ticket sold and all donations towards the delicious afternoon tea. Tickets are available at the door or book online.
