Students from Faulconbridge Public School brought a myth to life on the stage with performances of Panther the Musical in November.
Involving students from all year, the musical's story centred on a group of students who get lost in the bush on a school excursion. They hear roars in the distance and start to see visions of panthers after eating special "berries". They eventually have to decide to keep the panther a myth or go public with their stories.
"Perhaps the best part of Panther is that it has provided the opportunity for many of our talented students to showcase their skills," said teacher-director Paul Thomson.
"A look at the credits in this program tells you that many of the songs and dances have been created by the students on their own. Expect to see more of these students on the stage in the future."
There were four performances with the final show held on Friday night, November 15.
"I know that Panther will live in the memory of all performers for a long time," said Mr Thomson. "The panther might or might not be a myth but the magic of performance is a reality."
