Three-time Burne Gift winner Morgan Gaffney is set to be a force in the sprint races again this season after taking out the Richmond Gift on Sunday.
Running from the back mark of 1.25 metres, Gaffney blew away her opposition to win the final in a time of 13.97 seconds, almost half a second ahead of 2018 Burnie Gift winner, Hobart's Kiani Allen (1.45m), with Launceston's Katie Bessell (10.5m) in third.
Wesley Vale's Darcy Miller was the other Coastal winner on the day, taking out the open 1600m.
Starting off 320m, Miller held off Penguin's Aaron Humphrey (145m).
The next carnival on the Tasmanian Athletic League calendar will be at Penguin on Sunday, December 8.
