About 450 residents around Bilpin, Berambing and other fire-affected areas could be without power for several days due to bushfire, Endeavour Energy has advised.
The continuing Gospers Mountain bushfire has damaged power lines and affected townships include Bilpin, Berambing, Mount Wilson, Mount Tomah and Mount Irvine, the provider stated.
"Based on Rural Fire Service reports, it will take several days before power is back on to customers in these areas," an Endeavour Energy statement said.
"Endeavour Energy cannot safely start repairing fire-damaged powerlines while firefighters are still working to establish containment lines and undertake back burning.
"Emergency crews will be on site to inspect the damage and ensure repairs to the network commence once the Rural Fire Service has declared the area safe to enter.
"Where possible, people currently without power should consider making alternative accommodation arrangements until their power is restored."

Safety advice:
Stay well clear of fallen power lines and call 131 003 to report power lines down or other dangerous situations like broken and burnt poles and cross arms.
Residents returning home after a bushfire should contact a licensed electrician if they have:
- any concerns about their household electricity supply
- a home solar system that has been affected by the heat, covered in ash or otherwise damaged.
