The iconic Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mt Tomah is re-open to visitors following the recent bushfire crisis.
A statement posted on its website on Monday stated the garden was beginning to reopen facilities unaffected by the fires, although some areas will remain closed for safety.
"We at the Garden are extremely grateful to our staff, local community and emergency services personnel who dedicated their time and expertise in dealing with the devastating bush fires," the statement said.
"Fortunately, most of the Garden's plant collection, buildings including The Potager restaurant, accommodation, and venue spaces were unaffected by the recent fire.
"Some areas within the Garden remain closed for safety reasons."
The Gardens have been closed since bushfires swept through the area on December 15, with initial fears that "significant" areas of the tourist icon had been affected.
Staff have urged those visiting the Garden to extend their time in the area to help other local businesses affected by the fires.
"The Blue Mountains community along Bells Line of Road has been significantly impacted by the fires. As you travel through the area, please consider visiting local businesses to support their recovery," the statement said.
