Rachel Little teaches business and computing by day. In her spare time, she indulges her love of photography at any opportunity.
The opportunities will come thick and fast when she spends two weeks on board a Viking Cruises ship during the northern hemisphere summer, as the winner of our latest cruise competition.
Entries closed on February 29 for the 14-night cruise from London to Bergen in Norway. The prize, courtesy of Explore and Viking Cruises, is worth up to $25,390 and includes economy class flights from major Australian cities. .
While she's no stranger to cruising, having toured through the South Pacific islands in the past, Rachel says she's never been to Europe and Scandinavia and can't wait to snap the spectacular scenery she expects to find there.
She is especially looking forward to a holiday as she's spent the past several months recovering from back surgery.
"I'm really excited and can't quite believe I've won!" Rachel said.
The TAFE teacher of some 20 years' standing works across campuses in the Hunter Valley, including at Maitland, Cessnock and Glendale.
Rachel says her friends are now all vying to be her "plus one" on board the Viking cruise, and join in the luxury of the stateroom accommodation with private verandah, the choice of dining options and shore excursions to places such as the Shetland and Lofoten islands, Nordkapp and Geirangerfjord.
Viking's state-of-the-art ocean ships carry just 930 guests, offering an intimate cruise experience in an atmosphere that combines understated elegance with modern Scandinavian design.
