Brigitte Grant has run a successful photography business in the Blue Mountains for 10 years but coronavirus has left her without work for the "foreseeable future".
The Medlow Bath resident was engaged to photograph United States artist Amanda Palmer at the Blue Mountains Theatre in Springwood in February, as well as jazz performer Vince Jones. Other recent jobs included the Australia Day Citizen Awards for Lithgow Council, Burlesque Idol Show at Blackheath, and several portraits and family shoots.
"[But] during early March all my work ceased and now there are no planned shoots for the foreseeable future," she said.
Ms Grant intends to use her unexpected down-time to work on a coffee table book she started last year but had put on hold due to the bushfires. "This will be about women in the Blue Mountains and their stories," she said.

Despite her business, Brigitte Grant Photography, drawing on a wide range of work from fashion photography, stage events, portraits, social activities, weddings, corporate events and council engagements, it has still been hit hard by coronavirus pandemic.
"I hope to continue my photography business when we all get out of these difficult times," she said. "I have many artistic and entrepreneurial friends within the Blue Mountains who have been financially and emotionally devastated by the recent bushfires and now this horrid virus.
"My hope now is we can all somehow recover but realistically that is probably not going to happen. I love working in our beautiful Blue Mountains but realise that the after-life will be somewhat different but yet challenging."
