Building on the online catch-up sessions held for local business owners over the past month, Blue Mountains Regional Business Chamber (BMRBC) is offering a series of online events, with a new topic for each month.
In collaboration with fellow business organisation, Women With Altitude, the Tuesday Smart Sessions will offer local business owners thoughtful, structured events with networking opportunities, specialist insights and informative discussion.
Attendees can expect panel sessions and guest experts on topics that include Google for business, strategies for surviving beyond a crisis, and tips for turning customers into raving fans.
President Mark Barton said the timing of the series offered business owners the option to maximise the period of transition from lockdown, to orientate themselves and to explore or establish new practices, post-pandemic.
"Businesses in the Blue Mountains are resilient, you can't keep us down. This has been a testing time for everyone. Our online catch-up sessions have revealed that while people are hurting - some of them badly - there is a great spirit of fortitude that's keeping things going.
"These events are the natural progression for the Business Chamber's own steps toward 'business as usual'. We see that there is an appetite to hit refresh and take another look at the ways we do business. The Smart Sessions offer a monthly event that has something for everyone, as we head out of these tough times.
"We know there's a lot of uncertainty, but yet there's also a great sense of positivity out there. It goes to show that a year's worth of disasters won't bring us down for good."
The next Business Chamber event is an online workshop on Tuesday 2 June, sponsored by Dale Carnegie: on Managing Stress and Becoming Resilient. This workshop retails more widely at $330 per session; thanks to this generous sponsorship, tickets are $29 for members, $39 for non-members - all welcome, places are limited - available here https://bit.ly/BMResilience.
