Glenbrook Rotary markets returned to the Lower Blue Mountains with a variety of quality stalls, the popular book fair, music and fun on July 4.
Rotary president Michele Ellery said all COVID-19 regulations were in place with social distancing and stall spacing but some 1800 visitors still poured through the gates.
"The good news is that we're doing it again this Saturday, July 18, with more stalls and more attractions," she said.
"Our market team leader Ken Linfoot and his team have worked hard to set up two equal monthly markets on the first and third Saturdays now - and the general public and stall holders seem to like the idea.
"Every Market Day now features handicraft, plants, fruit and veg, delicious homemade food, clothing, soaps and personal items along with unusual handmade treasures," she said.
Ken Linfoot said whilst the quality of stalls, food outlets and coffee are all important, the music component is also very popular with the market-goers.
"This Saturday we will have our two providers - the Little Black Ducks, and Jarrad & Friends - providing great musical entertainment at the same time at opposite ends of the Glenbrook School grounds," he said.
Book Fair team leader Susan Wakefield said the COVID lock-down period resulted in an increased demand for quality books as near record crowds 'raided' the very popular Market Day attraction on July 4.
"However, new supplies of books are constantly being received - featuring all the popular authors - and the book fair venue has been attractively rearranged to allow for easy selection. Children are also very welcome to sift through the impressive collection of children's books."
