A section of Jenolan Caves Road between the intersections of Duckmaloi Road and Hampton Road has closed after a landslide on Monday morning, August 10.
For the safety of all road users, Transport for NSW has advised the road closure will be in place for up to three days to enable a slope risk assessment, site investigation and work to remove vegetation, scaling of loose rocks and boulders. The area will be reassessed on Thursday, August 13.
There is a diversion in place via Hampton Road, Sodwalls Road, Mutton Falls Road, Mount Lowes Road to Oberon, and will add around 50 minutes to journey times. Heavy vehicles are encourage to travel via Bathurst.
Motorists should plan ahead and avoid this section of Jenolan Caves Road north of Duckmaloi Road while the closure is in place.
Meanwhile, the five Mile Section of Jenolan Caves Road, south of the intersection of Duckmaloi Road has re-opened following a closure late last week.
