Update (Friday August 14): The submissions deadline has now been extended to August 24.
National Parks is seeking feedback on its plan of management for the Govetts Leap lookout in Blackheath.
An amended plan of management has considered issues of access, safety and education to enhance the experience for visitors and improve protection of the park's values, as well as trying to drive more visitors into the Heritage Centre.
The proposals include a concept plan which would move the current parking area at the lookout further up the hill towards the Heritage Centre. This would involve the removal of some bushland in the centre of the loop road into and out of the lookout.
The whole plan can be viewed at the Heritage Centre at the end of Govetts Leap Road or online on the National Parks website.
Submissions close on August 17, although some residents and groups have asked for an extension of that deadline.
