Anyone living in the Mountains or visiting should get a COVID-19 test if they experience even the slightest of symptoms, NSW Health has said.
"With a growing number of cases, if you live in or have visited the following local government areas (LGAs) or suburbs in the past two weeks, get tested even if you have mild COVID-19 symptoms such as a runny nose or scratchy throat," according to the department's latest COVID updates.
Blue Mountains LGA is listed among eight others, as well as a part LGA and the suburb of Mt Druitt.
The Mountains has recorded five cases in the last week - two students from Blue Mountains Grammar, a visitor to Katoomba Aquatic Centre and two who were at Springwood Sports Club on Saturday and then at Lawson oval during a soccer match on Sunday.
But there have been no more cases in the past 24 hours. Health authorities confirmed there were five new cases in NSW but none in the Mountains.
COVID-19 testing clinics are available at Katoomba hospital, at Hazelbrook Respiratory Clinic, 7-9 Rosedale Avenue, Lithgow Hospital and several in Penrith, including a drive-through clinic in Ransley Street and at the International Regatta Centre in Castlereagh.
