Pigeon Lane @ Gallery One88 and the Baroque Room in Katoomba will be two of the venues to host music under the Great Southern Nights program designed to kick-start the live music industry.
Great Southern Nights, a NSW government initiative, is a music event which will bring 1,000 COVID-safe performances to live music venues across NSW in November.
Pigeon Lane is an intimate and suitably sophisticated live music salon that is emblematic of a pre-prohibition Manhattan speakeasy. Inhabiting the basement of Gallery One88 in Katoomba Street, its walls are adorned with artwork and mirrors that bespeak the town's eccentric and polished past.
Pigeon Lane @ Gallery One88 will host: Friday, November 6: Abby Dobson (pictured) with Rebecca Mann; Saturday November 7: Nikka Costa with Ace Evergreen: Thursday, November 12: Sarah McLeod; Friday, November 20: Steve Kilbey with Sonori; Saturday, November 21: Steve Balbi with Blue Sherlock; Friday, November 27: Jak Housden and CJ Stranger.
The Baroque Room, adjacent to The Carrington, will see concerts from: Sunday, November 8: Lolo Lovina, Gary Daley and James Greening: Saturday, November 14: The Crooked Fiddle Band and Deep Sea Lights; Saturday, November 21: The Morrisons and King Curly; Sunday, November 22: Michael Simic and Tania Wilds.
All music events will be programmed in line with current NSW government health advice regarding physical distancing and venue capacity of public gatherings.
