For 18 years Katoomba Camping and Hardware owner Louise Rowles has been keeping Blue Mountains residents stocked up with all the gadgets and gizmos they could ever need.
A wide range of camping gear was added around nine years ago in response to constant requests from Louise's customers.
"It was originally just hardware but people kept coming in and asking about camping gear," she said.
"After about 20 people a day started coming in and wanting camping gear, we had to pivot and start supplying.
"Camping is a wonderful Australian pastime that is enjoyed by almost everyone.
"And even if we can't travel far at the moment we have an abundance of places to go right here in the beautiful Blue Mountains where we can still enjoy the best of camping and caravanning."
Louise and her "highly skilled and long suffering" manager Mickie aim to cater to locals and provide them with what they want at a reasonable price.
"We are lucky to have a very loyal customer base which we really appreciate," Louise said.
"Our motto is - people in the Mountains should be able to source in the Mountains."
The store has recently extended the range of camping goods in order to cater for the needs of everyone from the single backpacker to family groups.
There is a large range of family sized tents which are easy to set up, as well as all the extras such a full range of camp ovens, jaffle irons and frypans, as well as toilets and toilet chemicals, lighting, gas stoves and fittings, inflatable beds and much more.
"There is everything you need to make camping with the family as enjoyable as it should be but at a price that is totally reasonable," Louise said.
COVID-19 has had its effect on the business as with everything else, but the store has adapted.
They offer contactless delivery and pick up, and have an online store with more than 5000 items and plenty more being added by the day.
All goods can be viewed on the website and customers are welcome to click and collect from the store or shop in person.
