Blue Mountains Grammar School turned their cricket, basketball and touch football games pink in late November, hosting their sixth Pink Day to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation.
Pink Stumps Day is the McGrath Foundation's largest community fundraiser and the school was proud to turn their weekend sport pink. Not only did the day raise funds for specialist McGrath breast care nurses, who support people with breast cancer, it also provided an invaluable opportunity for the students to come together and have some fun during a difficult year.
The school's partnership with the McGrath Foundation dates back to 2008 when Jonathan and Jake Collins - brothers and ex-students of the school - completed a 100-day 13,700km bicycle ride across Australia to raise funds for the foundation.
Headmaster Ian Maynard said: "Our students have a big heart and are always keen to get behind great causes like the McGrath Foundation".
