There's no slowing Alexander Adamson down.
The 12 year old Lower Mountains resident has won three of the biggest dirt track competitions this year.
He was the NSW Junior Dirt Track Champion for 9-13 years at the NSW Dirt Track Championship at Kempsey on October 30, backing that up with wins in the Casey Stoner Cup at Kurri Kurri on November 21, and then taking out NSW Junior Track Champion at the NSW Track Championships at Tamworth on November 28.
"I'm proud that I won them all, and because there were no Australian Titles this year. Winning the three biggest events is like an Australian title," Alexander said.
The Australian Championships, which Alexander placed third at last year, were cancelled this year due to coronavirus restrictions.
There's been far fewer race meetings this year, so for three months Alexander was keeping up his skills riding figure of eights on firetrails behind his home.
The Emu Plains Public School student starts at the Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School next year (he also plays guitar), and rides for the Central Coast Junior Motorcycle Club.
Alexander has been riding since he was four, in a discipline where riders can top 110km/h as they speed around a dirt track.
There was an added level of difficulty on the track at Kempsey, which has oil mixed in with the dirt, making the surface more sticky.
"It's more grippy, so you could have more speed in the corners," Alexander said.
