What do you get when you combine two halves of Mountains-based pub rockers, The Generators and Daisycutter?
The Genecutters? Nah! The Daisyrators? Nah. What you get is the new Generators (note the subtle lack of "The").
The line-up features original Generators Justine Doherty on drums and Michael Rochfort on guitar, with former Daisycutter's Pete Glover on bass and Mel Power on vocals.
They will bring their mix of 70s and 80s rock covers to the stage of the Royal Hotel at Springwood on Friday, April 9 from 9pm to 1am and at the Katoomba Hotel on Saturday, April 10, from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. The band's setlist is flavoured by Angels, AC/DC and Creedence.
It will be the first gigs for the group since the pandemic killed the live music scene.
The Springwood gig will be extra special for Pete Glover, as he boasts the rather unusual honour of being the Royal's one and only Hall of Fame member (he has played at the Royal for so long in different bands that he has his own framed photo on the wall opposite the bar).
