Springwood Women's Bowling Club will compete in the state championships in Kingscliff in September after winning the Nepean Grade 1 Pennant recently.

The Grade 1 team claimed the victory in a count back following an extremely close competition against Windsor Women's Bowling Club.

The women also won the District Pennant in 2019 and 2020 but this year five of the eight-member team were new to Grade 1, making it an outstanding effort from all players.

The club acknowledged the generous sponsorship from Springwood Sports Club, Blue Mountains MP Trish Doyle, and Brad Cole CEO McGrath Real Estate, Blaxland.
