OUTCOMES FROM NATIONAL CABINET
Prime Minister Scott Morrison met with the state and territory leaders via teleconference on Monday to discuss the vaccine rollout.
* 6.59 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Australia
* 26.7 per cent of the Australian adult population have now had a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, including over 65.2 per cent of over 70 year olds
* Each state and territory now has figures projecting the number of Pfizer and AstraZeneca doses over the remainder of 2021, to inform their vaccination plans
* Vaccines will be provided to the states and territories on a proportional population basis
* All first dose allocations to states and territories will have matching second dose allocations delivered three weeks after first doses are administered
* The number of Pfizer providers will be expanded, with the first supplies of Moderna (other mRNA vaccine) due in September/October
* Australia remains on track to offer every eligible person in Australia a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by the end of 2021.
