Greater Western Sydney coach Leon Cameron is imploring his AFL players not to dwell on the uncertainty of their relocation to Melbourne.
Cameron says the Giants are bracing to spend at least the next fortnight in Melbourne to avoid Sydney's worsening coronavirus outbreak.
Beyond that, Cameron says it's a mystery just when the Giants will be allowed to return home.
The Giants relocated to Melbourne on Tuesday night ahead of two MCG fixtures - against Hawthorn on Sunday and the following week against Melbourne on a date to be confirmed.
"We're probably here for a couple of weeks," Cameron told reporters at the MCG on Thursday.
"We're extremely lucky to play at the MCG two weeks in a row which just doesn't happen for us.
"Embracing that, from our young group, is wonderful news.
"After that, clearly your guess is as good as mine.
"As we know, it moves quite quickly ... but if you worry about it (future weeks) too much, it can get players offside a little bit."
Cameron said that mindset was a lesson learnt from last season's shift to a Queensland hub.
"When we first moved last year we went up to Queensland and probably adapted really well for the first part of it," he said.
"Then worrying about the aftermath after that probably got to us a little bit."
GWS players and staffers rushed to exit Sydney on Tuesday when given less than three hours notice by the AFL of the need to relocate, as did the Sydney Swans.
The Giants will use Richmond's gym and facilities at Punt Road ahead of their Sunday encounter with the Hawks.
"We had the Tigers and Bulldogs up in Sydney a month ago," Cameron said.
"All 18 clubs know that when they cross the white line on the weekend, you belt each other up and whoever wins, wins.
"But throughout the week it's wherever anyone can help each other."
Richmond coach Damien Hardwick said his club was returning a favour from the Giants.
"They were terrific with us when we went up there two, three weeks ago ... we we were really appreciative of what they offered us, so we're more than happy to reciprocate," Hardwick told reporters.
The Swans on Thursday trained at Whitten Oval, the base of the Western Bulldogs.
John Longmire's side will fly in and out of Adelaide on Saturday for their encounter with Port Adelaide, whose players will self-quarantine at home for 48 hours after the match and only be allowed to visit their Alberton headquarters.
