While most restaurants and cafes switched seamlessly to takeaway when lockdown hit on June 26, it was a different story for Arrana Restaurant in Springwood.
The fine dining restaurant hadn't experienced a lockdown before, having only opened last October after the state's first lockdown had already taken place.
But despite being lockdown "newbies", executive chef Daniel Cabban's upmarket take on takeaway has proved a hit with Lower Mountains residents since Arrana had to abruptly cancel a full-house of diners on Saturday night, June 26.
Mr Cabban has modified Arrana's menu to offer a four-course takeaway option, with people able to add a wine matching option as well.
"We've tried to make it easy and attainable for people to get the best results with the courses we provide them," he said.
The pre-prepared takeaway packages come complete with menu and detailed instructions on how to reheat the dishes.

Customers have embraced the idea, posting photos of their plating skills and table decorations on social media. Many have dressed up for the occasion, using the opportunity to celebrate special occasions at home.
"We really love it when people post photos on social media or share them with us," said front-of-house manager Leisa Cabban. "The fact that people are having fun with it and putting photos online, that's lovely to see. It means people are really enjoying what they are doing."
While most of Arrana's takeaway customers are people who have dined at the restaurant before, the initiative has also attracted new people to the Macquarie Road eatery.
Available from Wednesday to Saturday, Arrana's takeaway packages are available for pick-up from 3 to 5pm. The restaurant also offers a home delivery service between Blaxland and Faulconbridge and out to Hawkesbury Heights from 4 to 5.30pm. Bookings need to be made one day in advance. Phone 4751 5159.
