Leura Day Options is inviting Blue Mountains residents to visit a new village: Spoonville.
Resident are encouraged to add to the collection of Spoonville "locals" along the fence at Greystanes Disability Services, 2 Grose Street, Leura.
"You will need to varnish your spoon to be weatherproof. When visiting our spoon community please remember to socially distance and not touch the other spoons," said Vanessa Balfour, community engagement officer with Greystanes Disability Services.
"Currently, most of the people we support at Leura Day Options are spending their time at their homes throughout the Blue Mountains, but they have all made these colourful spoons for everyone to visit and enjoy.
"It would be fun whilst you are taking a walk to bring along a creative spoon person to add to the fence line of our day options building in Leura. We have a few people that are still attending our day options program. They have been busily creating and putting up the signs and spoons for the community to enjoy."
