As the community gets closer to some freedom from the current lockdown, Service NSW is continuing to encourage customers to register for a COVID-19 check-in card which can be presented to supermarkets and other essential retail businesses to scan.
The card provides a quicker, alternative electronic check-in method for customers without a smartphone.
Customers can download and print their check-in card or have a plastic card mailed to them within a week to ten days at https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/create-covid-19-check-card
Many Mountains businesses have been helping customers check-in manually when they don't have a smart phone or have trouble operating the Service NSW app. This speeds up the process for everyone.
Businesses can scan a customer's COVID-19 check-in card with a compatible device, such as a tablet or mobile device by using the camera.
When a business scans the QR code on the card, the customer's registered contact details automatically populate in the unique Service NSW business online webform.
The customer's check-in information is directly available for NSW Health's contact tracing team in the event of a positive COVID-19 case.
