Blackheath Theatre Company seeks a director

Have you got what it takes to take on the directing role for an upcoming theatrical production? If so, Blackheath Theatre Company wants you.

In a first for the group, it is calling out to the creative performing arts community for applicants to direct its first performances season of 2022.

Running from May 26 to 29, the season features Debra Oswald's powerful play, The Peach Season.

The play is steeped in the heat and hard labour of harvest time. As the story unfolds, so to do emotions, tensions and danger.

Blackheath Theatre Company director David Hobbs is leading the director search. Interested applicants should speak with David on 0414 392 744 before Saturday, November 6, to learn more about the script, schedule, audition policies and budgeting.

The company aims to provide a live platform to fosters a range of untapped and unrealised theatrical talents from within the local community.
