Bargain-hunters of the Upper Mountains will be happy to know that the Cat Defence Network Inc. op shop in Katoomba is open for business once again.
The Cat Defence shop, which reopened on October 18, is what you might call a high-end op shop, given that a portion of its stock is new, yet prices remain low.
And to cat lovers of the Upper Mountains, the store represents more than just a chance to pick up a good deal: the organisation also provides the crucial service of de-sexing cats.
"We were very happy to reopen to raise money for our charity," said president of Cat Defence Network Inc., Lyn Wilson. "Although there aren't many people around at the moment.
"But Christmas is coming - we have lots of great things and great prices. Please support our charity."
Wilson also notes that the shop will welcome donations of unwanted presents after Christmas.
And, importantly, the shop is seeking volunteers to assist in the running of this established community enterprise. Anyone interested can call Lyn on 0408 617 955.
The Cat Defence Network Inc. op shop can be found opposite the Gingerbread House in Katoomba, at 71 Waratah Street.
