Mount Vic Flicks has a special treat for Blue Mountains movie goers. It will screen director Wes Anderson's tenth feature, The French Dispatch, from Saturday, December 4, ahead of its release to other cinemas the following Thursday.
The film, which boasts a cast including Frances McDormand, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton and Willem Dafoe, has been described by critics as "brilliant" and "delightful".
A love-letter to old-school print journalism, Anderson brings to lofe the stories reported by an outpost of a New Yorker-style newspaper in a fictional twentieth century French city.
Also featured in the stellar cast are Timothee Chalamet, Adrien Brody and Owen Wilson.
Mount Vic Flicks' resident organist Wendy Hambly will perform before the feature, which is set to screen at 1.15pm. Doors will open at 12.45pm.
Tickets range from $10 to $13 and bookings are essential. To secure your seats and for more information, visit mountvicflicks.com.au
