Festive cheer came to Lawson again last year thanks to the hard working volunteers at an annual Christmas day morning tea and lunch.
About 80 attended the event which was held at Kihilla House and was supported by many businesses and individuals.
"The venue this year was amazing. We were kindly offered the use of Kihilla House which made it more of a family gathering in a wonderful setting," said event co-ordinator Chris Kelly. "The sun shone, and the views were just amazing.
"This was our fifth year and each year the true Christmas spirit is shown by the generosity of our community family, without which this event would not be possible," she said.
"Sponsors and supporters included: Bendigo Bank, Kihilla House, Susan Templeman MP, Trish Doyle MP, Uniting Church, Dr Divang, Noel from Lawson Post office, Markesha and her classes from 60 + strong, Foodworks Hazo, Woolworths, Big W, K Mart, Bunnings, Mitre 10, Coles and Tom from the Anglican Church Lawson for overseeing and supporting us."
