What's new on the Nine Network?

It's all about crime on the Nine Network in 2022, with another instalment of the Underbelly saga, a drama following four would-be detectives, a look at realities of daily life behind bars for inmates and corrections officers, and a behind-the-scenes venture with police and investigators across Australia in search of missing persons.

UNDERBELLY: Vanishing Act

Underbelly: Vanishing Act tells of the bizarre disappearance of Melissa Caddick, the high-roller who allegedly embezzled more than $40 million before vanishing into thin air. It's a mystery that has left Caddick's family, clients, and the police, questioning everything they thought they knew of her.

It stars Kate Atkinson (Jack Irish) as Melissa Caddick, alongside Colin Friels Mystery Road), Tai Hara (Madam Secretary), Maya Stange (Love Child), Ursula Mills (Out of the Blue), and Sophie Bloom (Love Child).

AFTER THE VERDICT

To catch a killer, four people go beyond the call in the gripping new drama series After The Verdict, starring Sullivan Stapleton (Blindspot), Magda Szubanski (Babe) and Lincoln Younes (Doctor Doctor).

These very different Australians, who have just finished jury duty on a high-profile murder trial, return to normal life with doubts about their verdict.

They take matters into their own hands to investigate the murder as they struggle with its impact on their personal lives.

AUSTRALIA BEHIND BARS

Melissa Doyle leads viewers beyond the impregnable walls of three maximum security prisons in an eight-part series which documents the harsh realities of daily life for inmates and corrections officers.

The stories are confronting and compelling in this dramatic, firsthand look at a part of society rarely seen.

MISSING PERSONS INVESTIGATION

One Australian goes missing every fifteen minutes. This behind-the-scenes series follows police and investigators, including world-renowned forensic specialist Dr Jodie Ward, across Australia in search of missing persons.

The series explores the complex and harrowing events surrounding missing persons, and the lives of those impacted.

The audience is taken inside Australian Federal Police's world-first forensics laboratory in Canberra, where the National DNA Program for Unidentified and Missing Persons is underway.

MILLIONS DOLLAR MURDERS

Retired Detective Superintendent Deborah Wallace uses her 30 years' policing experience alongside some of the country's leading detectives, to take viewers inside the investigations of six chilling murder mysteries. She revisits crime scenes, dissects the cases with detectives, questions witnesses and talks to grieving families.

When there are few leads left to investigate police turn to the public for help to solve these crimes, offering a $1 million reward for new information, from someone, somewhere, who may know something.

The series hopes to spark a memory or a change of heart that will bring justice for victims and their families, and the chance of a life-changing reward for a viewer who helps solve the case.
